my first time at a nude beach
I visited a nude beach for the first time in my life this summer and the video about this experience is coming here so soon! Be sure to come back and check it out within a week or so ♥
artistic nude self-portraits in nature
I didn’t want to show my face that day, and I wanted to make beautiful nude self-portraits somewhere in nature. At that time I was staying at Sunsport Gardens Naturist Resort, so all I had to do was roll out of bed, get my equipment, and walk outside onto my nude creative playground.
The royal poinciana tree spoke to me. It always does. It’s every leaf is pure art to me - composed of tine leaves arranged in this gorgeous manner, they are mesmerizing to look at, and their gentle caresses against the skin are more tender than a lover’s touch.
Theses are the images I created that day. To be honest though, after I loaded them into the computer and looked at them, all I saw was a collection of flaws and regrets about not putting makeup on that day. The belly too big, the blemishes (I removed them in these photos), the folds on my back.
But then I look at these folds and I think - this is what a real body looks like! I am real! If I obsessed over my body and took myself to the gym and worked out, and focused on making sure the folds were not there, they would probably not be. But I have them.
My job now is to either learn to love them, or decide that it is so important for me to not have them that I work out regularly.
I decided to do both ♥
And if you ever wonder what the process of taking self-portraits looks like, I do show it in some videos. To encapsulate it in one snapshot, this is it :)
How do you think these images turned out? I have a few of my favorite ones from this series for sure! And it always surprises me how I am able to see myself with more love and compassion after some time passes…
self-portraits with a lotus flower
This must have been one of the most beautiful lotus flowers I have ever seen, honestly. But most importantly, it must have been the one to which I was able to get the closest to.
When I first saw it at Sunsport Gardens Naturist Resort, I knew that I had to be as close to it as possible, in order for the photos to be impactful. I crawled as close to the edge of that tiny pond at Sunsport Gardens without falling in, and we had our moments together.
It was as a spiritual experience to see that flower. Big, the size of my head, it’s petals so delicate, I could stare at it for hours. We had a conversation. I asked it, how are you so perfect and beautiful? And he answered, just like you are - you are perfect and beautiful too. It showed it what’s possible for me, if I allowed myself to fully BE myself, I would blossom into the most beautiful version of myself. And that is exactly what I am doing. ♥
