There is a lot of preparation that goes into a branding photoshoot but once it is done, it will give you a lot of clarity and the images we create will communicate your brand. I invite you to explore the questions below and brainstorm as many answers as come to mind, from which you can then choose the most appropriate ones.

Why did you start your business? What is the story of your business?

What products or services do you offer?

What problem do you solve for your customer?

What five words would you use to describe your brand?

What do you want people to feel when they think of your brand?

What are the colors you associate with your brand?

Besides your business, what 2-3 things are you mildly obsessed about?

Your ideal customer

Who is your ideal customer? (age, marital status, occupation)

What are your customers' values, what do they take pride in?

Your Branding Photoshoot

Photoshoot location: Brainstorm a list of possible locations for your photoshoot.

Props. What symbols would you want to include in your shoot? From your favorite coffee mug to bicycle, list as many ideas as you can.  

Outfits and jewelry: You will want to wear clothes that you are comfortable wearing and clothes that represent who you are. Take into consideration your brand colors and adjectives that describe your brand.

Marketing goals

For the next 6 months, what services, products, blog articles, and social media posts will you create, or on what will you focus your efforts? Even if it is not possible to list them all, brainstorm a bunch of ideas here so that we can create images specifically for those posts. 

Do you need photos for your website? If yes, on which pages of your website will they be used?

Make a list of shots that you already see in your mind:

If you have some time, create a mood/vision board on Pinterest where you can pin images that speak to you, ideas of image layout, pin images of your competitors and see what you like in them. Share it with me so I can see your vision the way you see it!
